macaron mania/madness/awesomeness

The baking frenzy continues. I swear this is all that I do with my free time these days. Not that I'm complaining. I actually really enjoy baking. However, I wish that I enjoyed eating what I make a little bit more. That's something to work on I suppose. Last night was round two of macarons. Something a little more adventurous : Earl Grey Salted Caramel. Oh yes.

Looking back on my first batch of macarons I am almost embarrassed by how stoked I was. This time around they are lighter, flecked with Earl Grey, and actually kind of look how a macaron should. Haza. Although I will not be trying one myself, I have received enough praise to boost my ego through the roof. Now I can only wait until I make something really horrible, and that aloofness will be shot down.

Next up, coconut cream cake with chocolate ganache. I swear, this blog is becoming more about the food than it is the clothes. When did this happen?!
