In a turn of events, this week did not go quickly. It dragged on like you wouldn't believe. Or you would, I guess. From what I've seen around the blogosphere, January was pretty brutal to everyone, this last week especially. Luckily, February is upon us, and I think that in itself is reason to celebrate.
This week has been all about dealing with my grandmothers passing. I'm not very good at expressing emotions... I'm definitely more of an introvert, and I tend to deal with things on my own, or push them to the side (I am fabulous at avoiding). It's easier for me to keep moving than to take the time to feel. I haven't had much luck at this, because my classes were cancelled two days in a row... I went to class two days this week, which is, uh, not ideal. It's not really my fault though... I'm thankful to have had the time to sit around and really take things in. It's been so go-go-go around here all month, so these two days of chill time have been nice. Relaxing, I guess, although not really. The service was yesterday afternoon. It was nice, or so I was told. It's the first I've been to, so I don't really have anything to compare it to... Friends and family spoke, which I wish I remembered snippets of. The whole thing was a bit of an out of body experience for me. This is it, you know. There's no going back. I'm so thankful for the memories.
I've been getting really into juicing, if you haven't been able to tell. Making one juice a day has been much easier to keep up with than trying to cleanse for a couple days. Much less maintenance. I've been getting most of my 'recipes' from various juice companies across the web.
I took a little time off from the internet this week (everywhere except Instagram... I can't quit you...) to do some personal reflection. Death does that to you. I started to wonder why in the hell I write a blog and question who really cares what I'm stuffing in my mouth or what I'm listening to. Blogging is weird. C'mon, it is. It makes me happy though, to share my story, and be able to read others. So I guess the answer to my question is that I care, and I hope that you do to.

Hi Samantha! Just saw your comment and thought I would reply here so you would for sure see it! Lola Coffee absolutely sells their beans in their shop - they should always have some either up at the front counter, or just ask a barista and I'm sure they can help your mom out! Oh, and Lola is located at 1001 N 3rd Ave Phoenix, AZ 85003. They used to have another location, but this is the only current one (didn't want to your mom to find herself at the wrong coffee shop). Let me know if you have any other questions! Wish you were coming to Phx as well! XO
